mit fud

So I've got this evening class at MIT. It looks pretty good, and I'm excited. But I do have one problem...

...It starts at 5:30 and goes til 8:30. I need to catch dinner before it (or some light dinner-facsimile) otherwise I'll be unhappy and grouchy through class. I also get onto campus at around 4pm, with plenty of time to eat and rest and read research. But I don't know the campus, and so I found myself wandering around looking for a place to 1) eat and 2) relax and read.

[livejournal.com profile] thomascantor has suggested Anna's Taqueria, and gave me directions so I'm reasonably sure I can find it. Any other ideas for good (cheap) dinner food and lounge space?

Oh ye cats and gods, ANNA'S.

LaVerdes, in the Student Center (84 Mass Ave) has grocery, sandwiches, and hot food. Also in the student center, on the second floor, is what is often referred to as the "airport lounge" -- comfy chairs and a good place to sit and read. Is this class today? I get out of work at 5 (I work in E51, room 185 http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?mapterms=e51&mapsearch=go), and could show you around a bit if you'd like. While I'm giving you links, http://whereis.mit.edu is the interactive campus map, and super-useful!

Also, what class are you taking?

You can always just grab some ice cream at Toscanini's, assuming it's still there ;)

I work halfway between Kendall and Central. Ping me if you'd like to do early dinner sometime? :)
