Some time ago, I dreamed I was talking to Martha Nussbaum, who looks like a blond Judi Dench (and like a woman I knew in Wisconsin). She asked me a major question of the ethics seminar I'm in, namely, 'What spiritual and ethical practices help us face our vulnerability honestly, without pulling away from life?'

Then the cat woke me up.

Then I dreamed I was helping stealthmuffin deliver a beautiful baby girl. I can still remember all the baby's crinkly-faced expressions, yawning and squinching and simply gazing at the world around her.

Ooh. Good dreams. Or, at least, they sound that way to me from the events you described. My dreams always have a particular emotional feeling. I don't remember them often though.

How would you have answered Martha's question? Are you writing a paper on that topic at the moment?
