...braaaaaaaiiiinnns.....

Right. I'm sleepy and bored, so the remaining costumes must wait till after this pointless-yet-fun little meme.

On your current playlist, hit shuffle and pick the first twenty songs on the list (no matter how cheesy or embarrassing), and write down your favorite line of the song. Try to avoid putting the song title in the line. Then have your friends comment and see if they know the songs.

I'm using two mix cds, since I don't really have a shuffled playlist on my little Leomund.

1. You might get what you're after...(bonus points for guessing which version)
2. Many shapes and weights to choose from; I will never leave my bedroom!
3. Miss you all the time, I must face; miss your touch and your embrace.
4. For a million years he has been your lover.
5. You don't wanna hear a thing about what he should but doesn't think about when you wanted him without a doubt.
6. It's more fun to compute! (again, bonus points)
7. Seven girls are going to the graveyard, and only six of them are coming back.
8. She says Little Regis is just plain egregious and Captain Picard is too droll.
9. And not one word can fill my bed.
10. You will find me at the banks of all four rivers.
11. The drinks are free, but you really must stay.
12. Do they wear pants? No! But they wish they did, that's how smart they are!
13. If I had three lives, I'd marry her in two.
14. when I'm floating in through a tunnel I close my eyes.
15. His little heart, it beat so fast--and I'm ashamed of running away
16. Ho de ho de ho, sir.
17. I'll take on any man here who says that's not the way it should be.
18. I can shine even in the darkness, but I crave the light that he brings.
19. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.
20. What I worshiped stole my love away.

I don't know what #19 is, but it needs to DIE DIE DIE. ((it's been on like half the icons I've seen lately. ARGHHH))

#19 is from "Mad Mad World". It's amazing that the song which is just now making it big here in the states as a cover (if I remember right, Tears for Fears did the original) was ALL OVER British radio back in Jan and Feb.

Regarding #16;

Rah de rah de rah de rah, sir.

Really, I can't do this. It's unfair, esp. since I've been osmosing musical taste off you for some time.

6. Kraftwerk, natch. Or else SeƱor Coconut. *g*

Astonishingly enough, that's the only one I recognize... :-)

4. Greenman--XTC

12. The Pants Song!!!! Ah, dolphins...one of the smartest mammals on Earth.

Okay, those were the only ones I knew. Not bad, considering generally our musical tastes don't coincide that much.

Oo, oo, I actually recognize some of these! Behold the cultural with-it-ness of me!

2. is the Dresden Dolls' Coin-Operated Boy (a theme-song of me and...well, never mind.)
4. is XTC's Greenman
7. is Snakefarm's St. James Infirmary
8. is the Bob's She Made Me Name You Earl (another theme song! ;)

That's all.
