maybe I should have worn protective mittens
I learned to ski this weekend. I fell down a lot and got snow down my snowpants and rode the magic carpet up the bunny slope and barely avoided crashing into a carload of five-year-old snowboarders.
It was fun. (or rather, it became fun after a while.)
However, I have injured myself upon the ski slopes. I sprained my thumb.
If there's a dorkier injury than a sprained thumb, I don't know what it is.
So I'll just let that part of my body join the chorus of limbs in this household and discover what it's like to live without opposable thumbs. (Hint: typing is a pain.)

I once dislocated my elbow while snowboarding. At least I didn't break my tailbone?

Unrelated: we're in Boston this weekend. How about you?

I'm glad it became fun for you! I never reached that point. ;)
