Twin lies, twin truths
1. We had the same combined score on the SATs.
True. 1510. I got 710 verbal, 800 math, she got…was it 770/740?
2. We had matching Star Trek: TNG costumes.
False. I made a Star Trek: TNG costume in early highschool, but it was Mine, and Mine Alone! Ah ha ha ha! Ahem. We never liked having matching costumes at Halloween, not even when we were little, so even if she’d wanted it she wouldn’t admit it. Plus Meg was a gypsy that year.
(Note: Even though I stipulated that a false statement was entirely false, the meat of this statement is the matching and the twinness. And that part’s false. So there.)
3. One of us GMed the first game the other ever played.
False. In the months when we actually started gaming in highschool, neither of us wanted to talk to the other ever again. A year later, we’d made up, I ran Toon, and she joined, but we’d already been in different campaigns run by different guys.
4. Ours is the fourth generation in our family to go to college.
True.
Us, Mom & Dad, all four grandparents, and at least three of the great-grandparents (including an Oberlin alumna great-grandmother). Kind of impressive, but not really something that we had any hand in.
5. One of us had a crush on Captain Haddock, and one on Tintin.
True. She liked the blond heroics. I liked billions of bilious blue blistering barnacles! Pockmark! Coelacanth!
6. When we were nine, both of us were rushed to the hospital within weeks of each other (one proved to be a false alarm).
False. This has to do with our sister

Yeah! See, the costume one I knew for sure! Because your uniform was a medical/science TNG uniform and you painted your face all weird. I also remember
Pfft, during that whole period you guys hated each other I was busy with stuff. You know, first grade was a busy, busy time.
