This is not so much a Meme as it is a Plan. Less questionnaire, more personal-inventory device. (Interesting how the meaning of ‘meme’ has shifted over time, no?) I’ve been inspired by
cincodemaygirl’s
use of it, and I’m attempting the same.
Here are The Rules:
The Mission: Complete 101 tasks within 1001 days. (That's 2 years, 13 weeks, and 3 days, or November 22, 2006 in case you’re wondering.)
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (i.e. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of work on my part).
I’m taking that to mean that these aren’t “resolutions” a la New Year’s, but “tasks”. Such as, “Write three letters to people with whom I’ve fallen out of touch” rather than “Get back in touch with people”. Or “Lose ten pounds” rather than “Lose weight”. I will Memory this list and cross them off as I get them done…
It was harder than I thought it would be to come up with this list, even when I included the Big Ones. (Those are the first five.) The book and movie lists are ones that I’m not generally inclined to seek out or that have been on my ‘to do’ list for about four years.
Right! Get ready…1001 days starts…
( NOW! )
