Mayor Menino, why do you haunt me?

dietrich and imlad's wedding this weekend was beautiful and moving, and a really wonderful example of Pagan ceremony and of a kind and loving community.
I do not advise attempting to sleep two-to-a-bunk in the cabins; the time when I could be cozy sharing space in a twin bed is long since past. I've never had my hip cramp before.
Still feeling a little raw, lately, and trying to do my best not to take it out on friends and loved ones. I need a slightly thicker skin.
I have three pillowtops ready for the attendant gifts. They look really cool, especially the Staff one. It's like a giant flaming fleur-de-lis.
Classes remain awesome. Current topics? Genesis 4-11 (Cain and Abel, the Deluge, that weird little bit about the Nephilim). Phenomenology of the body, using research on boxers and hand drumming. The changes in the Catholic mass in the sixties. And the very end of Freud's Interpretation of Dreams, which has been the most intelligible and intriguing Freud I've ever read.
If only Interpretation of Dreams could tell me why this morning's dream finished with Mayor Menino doing a comedy routine involving levitating French toast.
