What a great New Year it's been already!

I helped build the ger, adding an extension onto the canvas skin and securing insulation. Although I did not sleep there, I'm told it was a very comfy and cozy place this year.

I ran a Toon game! My Toons were hired as NPCs in the Dungeon of Horrific Horror, until a fourth wall breach on the lowest level spurred them to collect the Plot Coupons themselves. The final enemy was attacked by bees, painted bright pink, dullified, and flossed to death. Also, Orc and Pie.

I read Tarot for several people in a wham-bam-parting of the veils for one night and one night only-thank you ma'am session with [livejournal.com profile] sanj. I'm cryptic. She's emphatic. We fight crime!

My Yuletide story was revealed! I wrote Finch's First Drop, from Connie Willis' "To Say Nothing of the Dog." It garnered some lovely comments, and was a hell of a lot of fun to write. The story written for me, "Walking Around, Wasting Time" was revealed as well. I don't know the author, but I continue to be moved and overjoyed by its beauty.

[livejournal.com profile] stealthmuffin also had her AWESOME story revealed, but I'll leave that in her hands.

I stitched bras onto a very comfy and slightly disturbing quilt.

Although I didn't help in their creation, I enjoyed the results of the homemade cheesemaking, chocolatemaking, sausagemaking, pastamaking, and (drum roll please) baconmaking. Home-made bacon. Cured and smoked and sizzling. Mmmmmmmm.

Despite a late-evening freakout during a very scary snowstorm, all parties are now present and accounted for, with no limb loss or anything!

I watched Metalocalypse and now am in love with Nathan Explosion. Or maybe just his name.

I watched Tongan Ninja. And I liked it. I'm sorry.

I helped (no, really, not just hlep) with the feasts--and there were multiple feasts. Breakfast feast. Pasta feast. Tamale and stew and mac-cheese and mystery slaw (anybody got the recipe for that?) and smoked meat feast. Leftover feast the next night.

I met a lot of new people, fun people, silly people, deep and creative and wonky people.

And most important of all, I spent time--not enough time, never enough time--with old friends.
