I'll go back to grading in a minute.
Dec. 1st, 2008 05:59 pmBut first, a meme gathered from...I don't remember, it's just floating around LJ.
Put your media player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title. I've cheated a little by arranging them poetically and adding punctuation.
Baby Grace is the Victim
Tonight, gonna have myself a real good time.
Emily, please--
I am the candyman.
This strangeness that you feel,
Zephyr in the sky, I wonder...
Sail home, heave ho.
They say we're young and we don't know.
Meet you downstairs in the bar and heard
ONE TWO THREE FOUR
When I find myself in times of trouble,
You sit there in your heartache.
Lay down your sweet and weary head,
I don't want to change your mind.
Inside the labyrinth wall,
Last night I dreamed that I was a child--
I'm not no red football!
A blacksmith courted me nine months and better;
Joy was her name.
See them walking hand in hand across the bridge at midnight!
My my my my my my my my!
Back to grading. 10 papers down, 35 to go. Also, my students have now officially hit Godwin's law; one paper brought in an...interesting comparison. UNEXPECTED HITLER IS UNEXPECTED, as
stealthmuffin put it.
