Water bottles are the greatest and best thing in the world.
I'm not talking about Nalgene bottles or Poland Springs stuff. I mean the old-fashioned rubber hot water bottles. Especially when they have polarfleece covers, making them soft and snuggly and absorbing any spills.
When sleeping in an unheated cabin in the Berkshires in November, I filled it with boiling water before I went to bed and it was like a space heater in my sleeping bag. This week I filled it from the tap and stuck it in the freezer; now it is a little endothermic huggable lump, without any drippy condensation.

sen_no_ongaku. But it is now my best friend, and it lives in my freezer.
