**Classes are interesting and good. I am happy with my choices and wonder where they'll lead me. Reading, pondering, and discussing are becoming more and more a part of my life.
**Application process is also going well. Done: requested transcripts and GRE scores, gave packages to recommenders. Need to do: polish writing samples and statements, finish online app process and start assembling envelopes for non-online apps.
**
mr_lent and I had a really good afternoon together. It wasn't "as if we picked up where we left off", but rather that the intervening years became like a beautiful thing to share, rather than distance.
**What is not so good is my time management capability. I want to warn everyone now that I'm getting a little flakier than usual, and have not been able to give the friendships around me the love they deserve. I'll do my best to balance "keeping sane" with "not going into hiding", but there may be a little more oscillation between the two points than would be preferable.
**In the next room,
sen_no_ongaku is playing Smoke on the Water using Guitar Hero. This? Is awesome.

Date: 2006-10-07 01:53 am (UTC)I, too, am having difficulty with time management. A wise professor at my undergraduate college told me to make a schedule with all the days of the week in it. Schedule: 1) time for sleep 2) time for eating, bathing, and other necessities 3) your classes 4) something active that reduces stress. Then look at the time you have left and add in: 6) time with friends/family and 7) study/work time. The goal is a balanced life that you will enjoy without running yourself down or hiding out. It helps!
