Hey, Western-Massachusetts folks:
know anywhere/anyone from whom we could rent speakers for the wedding? We're not going to have a DJ, just an iPod with lots of playlist.

After a debacle with wedding speakers in the past I strongly suggest picking up them up at least the day beforehand if you plan on setting them up yourself.

I had daddy's screw me double booking and then trying to stick me with some VERY ugly speakers that might or might not work.

Fortunately all Daddy's run seperate rental businesses, so I can say that while other Daddy's might be okay, avoid Daddy's Boston.

Might be too large a scale for you, but Limelight is out in Lee, MA. I think they do general theatrical production stuff (not just lighting). Also, Advanced Lighting and Production Services (ALPS) is down in Randolph--you'd have to transport from there. Number should be 781-961-3066. I usually talk to Rui or Nicole in rentals.

Also, I don't know anything about the technology, but you may need to send the iPod signal through an amp first.
