Memage, because I sleep now!
Nov. 9th, 2004 09:02 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Ten years ago, I;
had a crush on my Biology teacher, who looked like Christopher Reeve
was trying to think of smart college entrance essays
hung plaid curtains in my dorm windows
Five years ago, I;
learned the fine art of cleaning up cat yak
made some new friends from Connecticut in Somerville
was struggling with my first professional, real job
One year ago, I;
led my players into the town of Clepsis, full of crime, temples, sorcery, and ditz elementals
made a silk tulle tutu for an actress's 3-year-old so she could look like her mom
was starting to tell people that I was interested in graduate study
So far this year, I;
have not shied away from my decision to pursue graduate study (tho the application's still not in)
have walked on the seashore at night while the moon rose, holding hands and looking for turtles
learned to use my grandmother's loom
Yesterday, I;
gave platelets at seven in the morning while reading a Thomas Covenant book
started my first official day of work as a Harvard Staff Assistant (III) (helping with tenure committees)
went to bed after DaMan, which is extremely rare
Today, I;
finished my paper by getting up at five and working through lunch, but didn't have to work on it during work hours
set up four final packages for four promotions to professor
will be going to sleep early surrounded by Law & Order and Zim and Oob while Mike goes to poker night
(and will also call my younger sib, I got your message!)
Tomorrow, I will;
wreak screaming underground doom on my players
figure out how and when twin and I will be going home for Christmas
try to define my new job responsibilities
In one year, I hope I;
am working through midterms at divinity school
have finished quilts for sibling and cousin
sleep in on weekend mornings among flannel sheets in a big bed next to DaMan and DaOob
In five years, I;
will have started to save for a house
will be working on my dissertation (no reason to delay it!)
will see my younger sib more than once a year for two days
No more Red Bull and gin for me, thanks, I'm jiggly. (Or is that Gigli?)

In one year, I hope:
To write lots of poems.
The Hebrew will have paid off.
For life like right now.
In five years, I:
Hope to be published.

Date: 2004-11-10 12:10 pm (UTC)Who was that? I never took Bio at the Academy.
figure out how and when twin and I will be going home for Christmas
I haven't figured it out yet, either, but there's a good chance I will be driving out there (assuming your "there" is still Indiana). If our away-times are sufficiently compatible, maybe we can share transportation.
