Tonight, I've been on a Revising RAMPAGE! Which sounds just about as dull as it is. The Stealthy Muffin gave me good advice, including making certain to clearly express that I disagree with a particularly skeevy and exploitative little quotation.

I'm putting aside paper A to stew in its own sauce, in the hopes that a tasty gravy will be produced. Meanwhile, here is a meme of Five Things I... that [livejournal.com profile] laobscuridad tagged me for. For which I was tagged. Stupid preposition-endy-thing!

Five snacks I enjoy:
Wheat Thins (I just typed "Wheat Things")
Golden delicious apples
Jelly belly jellybeans
Cooler ranch Doritos. What? It tastes good!
Carrots and hummus

Five songs to which I know all the lyrics:
World Before Columbus, Suzanne Vega
My Evil Twin, They Might Be Giants
Anna Begins, Counting Crows
Gabriel, Lamb
Hounds of Love, Kate Bush

Five things I would do if I were a millionaire:
Pay! Off! Debt!
Pay! Off! Parent's! College! Debt!
Buy the apartment where I live.
Go to L'Espalier...and bring lots of friends.
Go wild at Thai Silks.

Five bad habits:
Biting...nay, savaging my nails.
Running my hand through my hair when I'm thinking.
Announcing what I'm about to do.
Jumping to conclusions.
Getting irritable at people on the bus.

Five things I like doing:
Planning my Orb campaign.
Watching [livejournal.com profile] sen_no_ongaku play a video game.
Referencing. Not footnoting; referencing.
Assembling beautiful things.
Reading next semester's course catalog and coveting like nobody's business.

Five things I would never wear, buy or get new again:
Jelly shoes.
Sausage from the deli down the street. Huuuuge unpleasant chunks of fat.
Dirndls. Unless a LARP or something called for it.
Wings. I kept bumping into things and people.
Bikini bathing suits.

Five favorite toys (at the moment):
HOLLIS, Harvard's library system. Shiny!
Cherry Hill Seminary's course listings.
We <3 Katamari!
Slow cooker and slow cooker cookbook.
Iron Dragon.

...I never like this part. Always feels chainletterish. But I'd love to see what [livejournal.com profile] fairoriana, [livejournal.com profile] spyscribe, [livejournal.com profile] lauramd, [livejournal.com profile] coraline, and [livejournal.com profile] g_me do with this.

I also suggest another twist: Replace one of the lists of five with a different category.

I get to wear my wings without ever worrying they'll bump into things. :)

I almost put jelly shoes on my list of things I will never wear again. They must be the most uncomfortable shoes ever.

Ah, Jelly shoes. When I was in kindergarten I wanted a pair so badly... until I got them.

Would this be the skeevy and exploitive quotation that put me into rant mode?

Heh. Wheat Thins.

Aww yeah. Wasn't it awful? I just had to include it to show how bad things could get...but I had failed to make clear that I think it's repugnant.

And go wheat thin yourself. rrrg.

Yes...a silk fabric store. China silk, shantung, dupioni, charmeuse, silkwool, duchess silk...

...oh dear. Drooled on the keyboard. Sorry.
